Lunch, then Rule 5 Custis Headwinds
Rode down to Shirlington, and almost kept going, as it was a 50/50 whether I wanted to ride down the MVT to Mount Vernon, or swing along with the Sunday Lunch Ride. I ended up doing lunch, and then punishing myself for it by coming home via the Custis Trail. I thought it was going to be fine, because when we rode by National Airport, the planes were landing over Gravely Point, so I figured I'd have tail winds when I got back after lunch... Silly me, the winds shifted to the north west, so that meant head winds all the way home! Suffer!Leave a comment
